Rovis-Hermann Classical Guitars are made for the concert platform using a modern design that has its roots in Spanish and French traditions. They are hand made from the highest quality materials available without the use of carbon-fibre. The soundboards are light and of graduated thickness to achieve a maximum range of color and power.
Rovis-Hermann guitars have a large color palette that is easily accessible to the player and each instrument can be custom made to tend toward an individuals taste. The overall response is firm and strong, with direction and sustain. The balance of response is considered extremely important. The basses have strength and direction without being loose, open and overpowering, the midrange and upper register sing with openness. The attack is fast and clear, and there is immediate modulation from one note or chord to the next.
Rovis-Hermann instruments are not heavy. Their structure has light parts that are supported by multiple braces. This gives an instrument of enormous resonance and intimacy. The materials used are considered carefully and are worked to fine tolerances to achieve an optimum balance of all of the working parts. This combined with a refined finish gives an instrument primed for concert performance.
